Actor and musician Sam Palladio grew up in the southwest of England, surrounded by the beaches, surf and wild coastline of Cornwall
But it was in Music City USA, Nashville Tennessee, that Sam got his acting and musical big break playing the character of Gunnar Scott on ABC's hit TV Drama “Nashville.”
Created by Academy award winning writer Callie Kouri and with executive music producers T-Bone Burnett and Buddy Miller, Sam found himself immersed in the worlds of Americana, folk and country and was able to make music with some of the finest musicians and songwriters in the world. In Nashville, Sam found the perfect platform for the duel career he always dreamed of. He was able to play his music on world famous stages like the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium, as well as being able to showcase his acting talents to over 6 million viewers a week on prime time TV.
While Sam portrays Gunnar as the soulful, hit country songwriter on the series, Sam is influenced by the folk sounds of the 1960s and ‘70 and classic storytellers like James Taylor and Paul Simon.
Sam started playing music in his teens and later went to study theatre and music at the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London.
As well as playing a lead role in "Nashville", Sam can be seen playing "Stoke" along side Matt Leblanc in BBC/Showtime's comedy "Episodes", opposite Justin Timblerlake and Ben Affleck in "Runner Runner" and as "Roland" in Lucasfilms animated musical "Strange Magic"
