FORESTBURG SCHOOL RECEIVES FIRST NOTE MUSIC PROGRAM DONATION

    For Immediate Release (Camrose, Alberta)

To mark the 25th Anniversary of Big Valley Jamboree, the First Note Music Program was established.

This program is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth in Alberta by providing the opportunity to learn, play, and share the gift of music through creative musical education programming.  In the spirit of this program the Big Valley Jamboree First Note Music Program recently  presented Forestburg School with $5000 to further the development of the school band program on June 7, 2017.

"We just wanted to thank the Big Valley Jamboree First Note Music Program for supporting our school's music/band program", says Lisa Myschuk, Forestburg School Band Coordinator, "Through this generosity, we will be able to give our program a boost by purchasing some greatly needed equipment.  Students from Grades 1-12 will benefit from this donation which will create more learning opportunities for them. Thank you for your support of the Arts, recognizing that Music Education is important!"

The Big Valley Jamboree continues to search out ways to support creative musical programming throughout communities in Alberta.  Local programs or organizations facing challenges in providing musical education programming are encouraged to contact Big Valley Jamboree for assistance by submitting a brief history and overview of the program, and what the challenges or issues being faced are.
