Go behind the scenes and learn what’s behind the meaning of today’s favourite songs and tomorrow’s future hits. The Axe Music Songwriters Workshop brings together a talented group of songwriters who’ll each perform something they’ve written, and discuss the meaning behind the song.

Wendell Ferguson: Axe Songwriters Workshop Host
Wendell Ferguson is a buffoon, a fool, a charlatan and a general nuisance...but he can play the guitar (a bit). He's garnered 9 CCMA Awards, an OCPFA Lifetime Musician Award and was twice nominated for a JUNO. Despite all this he still remains the same unapproachable snob he's always been. His latest CD entitled, "Wendell Live! The Shit Hits the Fans!" was nominated for “Album of the Year” at last years CCMA Awards. He's proud to be hosting the stage at the Axe Songwriter Tent at the Big Valley Jamboree.
